Photography by Do More Photographer and Camp Do More 2019 speaker Taylor Oakes from Toronto, Canada. Find more of her work on her website and instagram! If you want to learn from Taylor, check out her info on the Camp website!
Taylor is a tiny freckle faced female from Toronto. When she’s not complaining, she’s usually taking photos of butts. The rest of the time she is having photos taken of hers or is using it as a mechanism for laziness. Taylor was raised by the internet, but was professionally indoctrinated into antisocial tendencies when she began working for BodyRock. After a lot of coffee and even more self hatred, that stubby super stoner managed to turn a boring blog back into a booming online business. With over 1.8 million visitors a week, Taylor was managing a roster of 150 writers and bloggers, producing and directing content and sometimes taking sexually suggestive photos on the toilet while working for the biggest online fitness site in the world. But she hated her life and so she did the table flip and now applies that knowledge to help individuals and companies find their visual voice in this clusterfuck of collective consciousness we call “connectivity.” And sometimes she shoots weird shit.
Her classes include,
THE Introverts Introduction to Erotica - Tuesday 4:00 - 7:00 / Wednesday 4:00 - 7:00
Sex is actually really gross - but those are usually the best parts. Regardless if you agree or disagree with that statement, this course is for you. I’ll either change your mind or we’re already friends and just don’t know it . This course aims to take the shame and uncertainty out of erotica. You will learn how to infuse erotic subjects and imagery into boudoir, lifestyle, and traditional portraiture in a social safe and explicit manner. We'll go over developing themes from the ground up and incorporate power dynamics to enhance your imagery. We’ll breakdown and compare shooting both live and simulated sex and their differences emotionally and technically.
This is extremely emotional and vulnerable work for both you and your models, so we'll also cover the best techniques for setting expectations as well as the most effective ways to communicate them. Boon Ong and I will be demonstrating all of the above PLUS how to depict sexual tension without actually having any.
Conscious Clickbait / Tuesday 9:00 - 12:00
Creating marketing material that doesn’t sexualize your clients or piss off the prude police is increasingly difficult. If you aren’t sure how to shoot for social media, you aren’t alone. I’ve been making clickbait longer than I’ve been making art, but now I try and make both simultaneously.
This workshop focuses on best practices, techniques and approaches to sharing suggestive or sexual content. We’ll go over setting expectations with paid clients to aim for a full release, how to structure model calls to approach influencers for cross promotion collaborations, developing themes and styling and finding a visual voice in this clusterfuck of collective consciousness we call “connectivity”.
When you sign up for this workshop you will also be purchasing a portion of my dignity. I am one of the few “humans” I know that can see their own butthole, which means fucking with perspective is my physical specialty. The second half of this workshop will be dedicated to creating your sexually suggestive clickbait. I will be your naked human and will be breaking down my socially safe erring on erotic poses with opportunity for you to capture those shots that clients may not sign off on. Full model release. Topless & implied masterbation included. No genital nudity. If my gynecologist sees it, you don’t need to.
